One Year
Today marks one year since Ben left us. It’s been a very difficult year, but loss and grief are never easy and I see more glimmers of optimism in myself every day. On this sad day, I want to remember good times and share some of our favorite memories. Ben loved to look at old photos and videos from our visits to Walt Disney World and they now fill me with a lot of emotions, as I’ve written about in other posts. For now, I cherish these times and I will continue to wish upon a star that Ben is in a place where he can walk and talk and eat and play his music. As for the music in the video, Ben loved the Beatles, and his favorite Beatles song was “In My Life.” Thank you for sharing the moments.

Abby, what more can I say? Those pictures say it all!
Your loving tribute to Ben is deeply emotional, heart touching and…fun!
It made me laugh, it made me cry, it is just right…I’m sure Ben is laughing, too!
I believe that you put together some of the most authentic moments of Ben’s life and I commend you for that.
Although I didn’t have the pleasure to meet him I know now who and how he was!
I thank you for sharing such wonderful memories!

Hi Abby,
Sue & I finally had a quiet moment to watch this beautiful video of you & Ben. Thank you for thinking of us & sharing it with us. What a wonderful way for us to be able to see at least some moments of joy that you experienced together. Ben seems to be smiling in every photo! We are lucky to have known him & to know you Abby!
